  R. Mark Mathias, DDS
Dr. Mathias is a DeLand dentist whose mission is to provide state of the art, comfortable, pain-free dentistry. Recently recognized as one of America’s top dentists, Dr. Mathias graduated from the University of Maryland in 1989. He then completed a residency program and taught at the West Virginia University School of Dentistry for 4 years. He has lived and practiced in Volusia County for over ten years.
Patients enjoy his gentle touch, great listening skills, and caring chairside manner. In order to provide his patients with the best care, Dr. Mathias attends continuing education and practice enhancement seminars on a monthly basis. The office provides state of the art technology such as Cerec same-day crowns, Invisalign—straightening teeth without using metal braces, and laser cavity detection, to name a few. Because Dr. Mathias has some of the best patients around, he provides monthly specials & fun prizes to further brighten their smiles.

Dr. Mathias and staff have been honored for participating in an oral cancer prevention project with the University of Alabama and are one of a few select offices who completed the PACE program, taking a proactive approach toward periodontal care in their area. A sustaining member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Dr. Mathias is also active in many other dental organizations, including an elite mastermind group of dentists from across America that meet on a regular basis with the common goal of advancing the state of dental practice and patient care.
