Clear Aligners in DeLand

Woman putting in clear alignerHave you always wanted a straighter, more appealing smile? Or, perhaps you’ve had metal braces in the past but your teeth have shifted.

If either sound like you, clear aligners may be the perfect solution for your needs. At our practice, we’re proud to offer custom clear aligner treatment plans for patients just like yourself, helping you to achieve a straighter smile in no time.

How Do Clear Aligners Work?

Clear aligners, like the popular brand Invisalign, work to shift your teeth into proper alignment without the need for metal wires or brackets. Instead, you’ll wear a custom-fit clear aligner. The aligner doesn’t inhibit your speaking, and after a few days, most patients are quite used to wearing the appliance.

The best part? People won’t be able to tell that you’re wearing braces. And the process is extremely simple.

First, you’ll visit us for a consultation where we’ll discuss your goals and let you know if you’re a candidate. If so and you’d like to move forward, we can take digital scans of your teeth to create the aligner molds—there’s no need to suffer through messy goo with us!

If your teeth only need to be moved slightly, we can make your molds in the practice. If there’s a good amount of movement required, we’ll send your scans to a lab to digitally create the perfect aligners for you.

A couple weeks later, you’ll receive your first set, which you’ll begin wearing right away. Every several weeks, you’ll receive a new aligner. Each new aligner means your teeth are shifting more closely to the final desired appearance.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to see results?

Because each patient is unique, care plans are always different. A typical care plan for clear aligners may last anywhere from 6-24 months.

Are there any alternatives to clear aligners?

Traditional metal braces or veneers are the best alternatives for clear aligners. Veneers can achieve a straighter appearance in the quickest amount of time, as they’ll be placed ontop of your natural tooth to correct misalignment.

How long must clear aligners be worn each day?

We suggest wearing your clear aligners for 22 hours each day for best results.

Can I take my aligner out when I eat?

Definitely! Just remember to put them back on your teeth when you’re finished.
